Free Online Meetings about Multilingualism

I recently discovered this blog: Ute’s International Lounge where Dr. Ute Limacher-Riebold holds regular Free Online Meetings about Multilingualism.   I managed to catch the end of today’s meeting and LOVED the experience. Basically, you join an online video conference room where you can see other participants and chat with them about the meeting’s topic.  Ute is a charming and committed host, and it basically was a chat among bilingual parents.

The next meeting has a topic which might be of interest to many bilingual parents:
20 June: Keep up with the Languages during Summer !
Description: Multilingual families tend to spend most of their summer holidays in a country where their home language is spoken. How can we help our children to fully immerse into that language? What can we do so that they don’t “forget” the school language?”

You have to register by e-mail so as to receive the video conference link prior to the meeting. Upon your first connection, make sure you connect a bit early to have time to download the video conference app and not stress over the technical matters.
