A cute little book describing various unconventional daddy animals on several pages with flaps.
A beautiful use of the Spanish language accompanies the modern illustrations. The descriptions are simple though I wonder if the features of these unusual daddies might not be a bit too far off for young ones to relate to them. The last page includes a basic find and match game of daddies and babies.
My 2-year old loves this book about the parent-child relationship she can identify to. It gives us the opportunity to discuss how her daddy is and describe him, hence fostering her language development. She enjoys the last pages, which helps her build her self-confidence; since at first sight she thought she did not know how to match them and now rejoices in doing so.
As a mum, I love the tender feel of the book, the opportunity to discuss with my little one about her dad.
